High Bullen is a comfortable, quaint 17th century Exmoor farmstead which offers its guests a warm and friendly welcome. Set above the idyllic Lyn valley with the wild heather moorland coming right to the gate, the lovely old farmhouse is surrounded by its own fields and a wonderful view across the channel to the Black mountains of Wales. The centre of the farmhouse is 17th century with Victorian additions. It has a cosy lounge, light and airy dining room, four comfortable bedrooms, Victorian bathroom, shower room and additional separate toilet. The house has full central heating and a wood burning stove for those relaxing evenings curled up on the sofa chatting with new found friends, watching a DVD from our large collection or flicking through the Sky TV channels. For those who prefer a little more privacy a delightful lodge is sometimes available.
Outside there is a pretty garden where the guest are most welcome to sit, sunbathe and make the most of the good weather.
Single guests and non riders are most welcome and we do not charge a single person supplement.
Within the farm house and for the exclusive benefit of our visitors, we have a fully licensed trust bar, offering a selection of fine wines, chilled lagers after a hot summers ride, or a nip of the "good stuff" to warm the bones!...
We like to feel that High Bullen is your home from home, giving you the run of the house, farm and gardens.
