My Story

I was born here on Exmoor, my mother was a very clever fell mare that Stephany first met when we horses taught her how to listen to us on Bodmin moor and my father was a portugese bull fighting horse who helped to make the luistano breed so popular in Britain. I was the first horse Stephany bred for herself and we have done lots together over the years, from dressage, to le trec, Parelli, to classical riding with some western on the way, you should see my spins and stops, I can turn my hoof to anything. I love to go out with the hunt because it's such fun, but I also like showing my riders over Exmoor and giving lessons in the school. If you ask me in the right way I will do almost everything for you, but if you pull me about I will let you know that I don't like it. Stephany thinks I am a bit bossy. I'm the cleverest of all the horses, I take my job seriously and everyone listens to me when there is danger about. As I am getting on a bit I let Hero take over being the boss but I still like to get my own way. I stand at about 14.3hh, am black all over with a very fetching white stripe on my face and lots of energy. People say I ride like a much bigger horse.
